Colorado gas commission hearings on Broomfield spacing applications will be moved from Durango to Denver

Broomfield residents won’t have to travel to Durango in September for Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission hearings.

The COGCC spacing application hearings, filed by Extraction Oil & Gas, Inc. and Crestone Peak Resources have been pushed back to October and will be heard in Denver, according to an email from Hearing Officer James P. Rouse.

In addition to filing protests, Broomfield officials last week also filed a “Motion to Continue and Change Location of Hearing to Denver, Colorado.”

On Monday, the officer entered an order authorizing Extraction to file a response to Broomfield’s motion for continuance, according to an email sent to Matt Sura, with Broomfield Concerned: A Coalition of Neighbors, a local group of concerned citizens.
