Ontario Provincial Police say the eastbound lanes of Highway 409 at Martin Grove Road are now open after a truck fire closed the highway earlier Sunday.
Toronto Fire Services received a call for the truck fire at 1:02 a.m. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found a full-sized tractor trailer on its side and the cab fully engulfed in flames.

Captain David Eckerman, spokesperson for Toronto Fire Services, says fire crews used over 6,000 litres of water to put out the fire.
Eckerman told CBC Toronto the truck contained construction materials, and the driver refused medical attention at the scene.
The fire was out at approximately 2:15 a.m.
Crews repaved the on ramp to eastbound Highway 401.
