Uber’s new CEO is Dara Khosrowshahi
Jason Howell and Megan Morrone discuss the news that Dara Khosrowshahi will be the new CEO at Uber. The replacement for Travis Kalanik, according to many sources, is likely to be Khosrowshahi, CEO of Expedia since 2005, Khosrowshahi has grown Expedia from $2.1 billion in 2005 to $8.7 billion in 2016. Recode first posted about the pick based on its sources Sunday evening but as of now, no official confirmation has been made by Uber. However, Expedia chair Barry Diller sent a letter to employees confirming the rumor. Also, we examine a tweet by Margot Grabie that explains why Khosrowshahi was chosen.
